The members of the Firm have experience in proceedings involving breach of contracts, proceedings related to national and international business transactions, trade secrets, corporate litigation, manufacturer’s liability, reorganization and bankruptcy proceedings, all kind of financial transactions, oil & gas, claims against the government, tax litigation, labor disputes and construction industry. Members of the Firm have also actively participated in domestic and international arbitration proceedings, conciliation and recognition and execution of foreign judgments.    

REORGANIZATION PROCEEDINGS, OUT OF COURT RESTRUCTURINGS AND BANKRUPTCIES The Firm has a vast experience in reorganization proceedings, out of court restructurings and bankruptcies. The members of the Firm have represented its clients in some of the most important reorganizations and bankruptcies that took place in Argentina.The expertise of the Firm includes the advice to debtors and creditors in out of court reorganization proceedings, in court reorganizations and bankruptcies. Members of the Firm have counselled several trusties in chapter 11 type reorganizations and out of court reorganizations (APE) and to a syndicate of lenders in one of the most complex reorganization proceedings that took place in Argentina.    

REAL ESTATE The Firm counsels its clients in the development and finance of real estate projects. It has acted as counsel to lenders and borrowers in real estate operations as well as to buyers and sellers of real estate properties. The Firm has acquired great expertise in financing construction projects through loans or trusts. 

FINANCE AND BANKING Members of the Firm have counselled the most representative domestic and foreign banks and financial institutions in its activities in Argentina. The Firm members have acquired vast expertise in fields such as: Structuring of financial transactions; loan agreements with private and public entities; assignment agreements; guaranties, including mortgages, pledges, fiduciary assignments and “stand-by” letters of credit; counselling in financial, guaranty and administration trust agreements; setting up representative offices of foreign financial institutions; counselling to export import promotion entities of foreign governments. 

LABOR AW AND SOCIAL SECURITY LAW The Firm counsels its clients, especially corporations, on all labor and social security law related issues, as well as in all labor issues that might arise during mergers, spin-offs and liquidation of corporations. Such counselling includes labor contracts, employment of domestic and foreign employees, migratory proceedings, voluntary retirement plans and other additional benefits, and all issues related to the perception, control and execution of social security resources. 

TAX AND CUSTOMS The Firm counsels its clients in connection with tax issues and represents them in proceedings before the Tax Authorities in administrative and judicial courts. The fields with which the Firm is most familiar are among others tax free corporate reorganization, tax issues of mergers and spin-offs, finance, counseling during tax inspections, bulk transfer of assets, tax exemptions and challenge of tax assessments. 

ENVIRONMENTAL LAW The Firm provides counselling in connection with a broad range of Argentine environmental regulation issues, both at a national and local level. The services provided by the Firm include the solicitation of environmental related authorizations and certifications, permits, advice, and the dealing of administrative and judicial proceedings in relation with environmental infringements.
